What It Means to Raise Your Vibration and 7 Ways to Do It
“Good vibes only✌️”
“High vibes”
“Vibes don’t lie”
These phrases are constantly thrown around. The word “vibes” has essentially become a buzzword!
Being “high vibe” doesn’t have to be woo-woo, and being high vibrational simply means being in a strong, good feeling state. High vibrations are associated with positive feelings like joy, happiness, and love. In contrast, low vibrations are related to negative emotions like anger, sadness, and frustration.
When you raise your vibration, you consciously bring yourself to a better feeling state. There are many ways to do this, and it’s different for everyone.
I don’t want you to think that you have to have a high vibe all the time; that’s impossible. The goal isn’t to be happy all the time, and the goal is to realize when you aren’t feeling good and decide to feel better.
You want to raise your vibration because it makes you feel good, and you will attract your desires quicker.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never manifested anything I desired when I felt low vibe. Your energy and the vibration you emanate attract people, things, and opportunities.
(There’s a difference between faking a high vibration and actually being high vibrational. Your energy never lies.)
I will give you some practical ways to raise your vibration today. Let’s get to it!
7 Ways to Raise Your Vibration
1. Become aware of your thoughts
The best and easiest way to begin raising your vibration is to become hyper-aware of your thoughts. Your thoughts have the most impact on your emotions, and your feelings determine your vibration. So getting to the root of your state of being is where you can easily start.
Becoming aware of your thoughts is very simple. Notice what you are saying to yourself and think about doing mundane activities like brushing your teeth or driving. Where does your mind take you when you are still?
When you find yourself thinking something negative, immediately switch it. For example, your thoughts might say, “What’s the point in going to the gym? I’m not seeing any progress anyway.” When you hear that, immediately switch it to something positive like, “I love treating my body with respect and honoring myself by keeping my body moving and healthy.”
Every negative thought you have has a positive counterpart. So when you catch yourself thinking something that doesn’t serve you, switch it.
2. Listen to high-frequency music
High-frequency music is any type of music that makes you feel good. Who’s your favorite artist? What’s your favorite song or genre of music? Listen to more of that to get you in a high vibe state.
On top of that, you can listen to solfeggio healing frequencies! These frequencies have many physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits like removing negative energy around you and in your body, reducing stress, enabling creativity, rewiring DNA, and bringing in harmonious relationships and abundance. Meditative Mind does an excellent job at describing the 7 types of healing frequencies and their benefits.
3. Entertainment detox
Just like junk food is bad for your physical health, junk entertainment is bad for your mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Take a look at all of the content you consume, whether it’s the news, music, TV shows, movies, and social media accounts. What makes you feel good? What makes you feel bad? You are subconsciously picking up on everything you consume, so if the majority of what you’re consuming is negative, then you’ll begin to feel that way. Your brain is very susceptible to your environment and what you feed it, so feed it things that make you happy.
4. Eat fresh, organic foods
It’s no surprise that the food you put into your body will affect how you feel. Food is energy, so when you eat foods that are processed rather than alive with nutrients, you’ll feel the low vibrations of the foods. Your body takes in the energy of the foods you eat, so make sure they’re foods with good energy!
5. Exercise
Moving your body is the solution to so many of life’s problems. Exercise releases endorphins which relieve stress and triggers a feeling of happiness. Moving your body also shakes up the energy in your body and moves around stagnant energy. This stagnant energy might be why your vibration is low, so shaking it up and moving your body will help release anything holding you back.
6. Meditate
Meditation is one of the quickest ways to raise your vibration. It doesn’t have to be a 30-minute long meditation, and it only takes a short 5 minutes to clear your mind and connect with your higher self. You can use this time to quiet your mind, listen to your body, and calm your nervous system. Quieting the mental chatter allows you to hear the voice of your higher self to build a spiritual connection with yourself.
7. Practice gratitude
The power of gratitude is magical. You can completely change your state of being by simply showing appreciation for where you are, who you are, and everything in your life. Sometimes when you’re feeling low vibe showing gratitude is the last thing you’ll want to do. But honestly, it’s the most important. It forces you to find the good in what’s around you and show deep appreciation for what is. When gratitude becomes second nature to you, you’ll see how easy it is to get yourself out of difficult situations.
So now you see that raising your vibration and being “high vibe” isn’t just about being positive all the time or repressing any feelings in the hopes that you’ll seem high vibe. It’s about going inward and seeing how you can feel better in moments that make you feel down but put too much pressure on yourself.
Being high-vibrational allows you to attract your desires and makes you feel good. It’s all about energy and what energy you decide to play in today (:
