How to Manifest with the Moon

"Just like the Moon, your greatest magic will come in times of darkness when you have no choice but to trust your own power." - Spirit Daughter

Whenever there's a Full Moon, do you ever feel different? The energies around you changing; maybe you feel more emotional?

In astrology, the Moon represents emotions and feminine energy. It's associated with our relationships and how we nurture ourselves and others.

The Moon lands in a different zodiac sign every 2.5 days. And whatever sign it's in is associated with that zodiac's characteristics and qualities. The Moon controls the tides and water, and because we are 70% water, it's no surprise that the lunar phases also affect us.

Manifestation 101

Manifestation is when you bring your desires into your physical reality. Your thoughts are creating your reality. Let me explain.

When you think about something (positive or negative), it elicits a feeling within you. Based on what you're feeling, you will take specific actions (sometimes, you won't take any action). And the actions you take or don't take determines what happens to you...aka your reality.

But manifestation is more than just thinking positivity. It's about feeling and intention. It's about doing things that feel good because the better you feel, the easier it is to get your desires.

Manifestation is based on the Law of Attraction, a spiritual law that states that like attracts like. This means that you attract who you are being. Are you making decisions based on love or fear? Are you generally a good-feeling person? What do you think about most of the day? These questions determine who you are being and feeling you attract just that.

There are tons of manifestation methods, but manifesting with the Moon is a powerful one. The energies line up to help bring your desires to you. It enables you to gain clarity on what you want or don't want. You can set goals and intentions by aligning with the energy and phases of the lunar cycle.

Let me show you how!

New Moon

The New Moon happens when the Sun and Moon are connected, making the Moon dark and concealed. The New Moon represents a fresh start and new beginnings. This is the perfect time to set your intentions.

Setting intentions and getting clear on what you desire is the first step in the manifestation process, and honestly, the most important. Without knowing what you want, how will you manifest it?

If you are feeling off or want a change, this is the time to clarify what you want. What are some habits that you want to implement? What are your goals for the next month? How do you want to feel during this next phase of your life?

When you know precisely what you want, you can aim your focus there. Instead of having a vague idea of something you might wish to, you know exactly what you want and focus your attention there.

The New Moon is a fresh start, so you can:

  • Journal about your goals and intentions

  • Pamper yourself with self-care by taking a bath and lighting a candle

  • Creating a vision board with images and phrases that represent your goals and intentions

First Quarter Moon

The First Quarter Moon is when the right half of the Moon is lit up brightly. It represents action. This is the time to take action on your goals. Everything you set intentions about will only come to fruition if you take action.

This phase of the lunar cycle represents the "Inspired Action" stage of the manifestation process. Manifestation is more than just thoughts. Thoughts and feelings are important, but thoughts alone won't bring your desires.

We live in a 3D, physical world, so you need to take physical action to have what you want. Inspired action can be an action that feels like the next right step. It's the next obvious thing you would do to propel you towards your desires.

An inspired action is not difficult or tiring. If it is, then it probably isn't the next right thing to do. See what feels easy and what comes naturally.

The First Quarter Moon is the perfect time to take action. Your ego might stand in your way and bring up some resistance, but you have to be stronger than your thoughts. You have to push through the challenges of your mind and use the momentum you had during the New Moon to take action towards your dreams.

Full Moon

The Full Moon is when you see the Moon completely lit up in the sky. It's such a beautiful sight to see, but the energies it carries can be super intense. The Full Moon represents celebration, reflection, and release. This lunar phase brings out intense emotions. This is a time to celebrate all you have accomplished since setting your intentions during the New Moon.

In the manifestation process, this reflects the gratitude stage. A big part of manifesting is grateful for everything you have, everything you've accomplished, all of your relationships, and yourself. Regardless of whether they are fulfilling or not, they have shaped you somehow and have made you the person you are right now. So it's only right to be grateful for where you are.

You have to be grateful for where you are now to get where you desire to be - regardless of your circumstances.

During this Full Moon, you can:

  • Make a gratitude list about everything that is going right in your life - everything that you enjoy and makes you feel good

  • Make a list of everything that you want to release (when you know what you want, you know what you don't want to) and everything that no longer serves you

  • Take 15 minutes to meditate and connect with yourself and visualize your dreams

  • Take a shower and let the water wash away anything that you want to release

Last Quarter Moon

The last quarter Moon is lit up on the left side of the Moon. This lunar phase represents surrender, transition, and forgiveness. After setting intentions, taking action, and being grateful for what you've accomplished, it's time to let go of what doesn't work and allow the good things to come to you.

In the manifestation process, the Last Quarter Moon represents surrender. Surrender means you let go of your desires. This doesn't mean that you don't think about it or want it anymore. It just means that you have faith that it will come to you.

Having faith is the most essential thing when manifesting. If you don't believe in some higher power, whether that's God, the Universe, Source, your higher self, etc., it'll be so difficult to have faith. It's good to believe in yourself and trust that you have the means to create your life. However, it's also important to know that you aren't entirely alone in this process. You have guidance and something or someone orchestrating when and how your desires will come to you. That's the magic in manifestation. Believe wholeheartedly that what you want is coming to you. Because it is.

Manifesting with the Moon phases can help boost your manifestations.

Don't underestimate your creative powers and the powers of the Moon. There's no doubt that the Moon affects the human body and mind. And the Moon isn't going anywhere the last time I checked, so you might as well use it to your advantage. It won't hurt if you try! The Moon carries specific energies, and those energies can propel your desires more quickly and powerfully.

Happy manifesting (:
